You are what you Eat
You cannot keep a car running properly without the proper gas, oil, antifreeze, etc. The same thing with your pets body. You cannot feed your pet junk and expect it to keep running at its best without proper fuel and water. Most commercial kibbles are "junk food" they often have cancer producing preservatives, food coloring which can also cause cancer, and often have synthetic(man-made) vitamins and minerals. The main reason that kibble is mostly carbohydrates is because it is the only way they can bind all of the food together. This process is strictly for money making purposes and not for your pets health, that is why most commercial pet companies want you to believe that they know and researched what is best for your pet. Do you think they know better than God or mother nature- I THINK NOT. Wild carnivores do not graze on grains all day long, but they are made to hunt for food, and eat fresh raw meaty bones. When you stick close to nature, the way God intended your pet to eat- you cannot go wrong. Dogs, cats, and ferrets are all carnivores and not omnivores, which commercial industry wants you to believe. Every cell in your pets body cries out for raw meaty bones and vegetables fixed appropriately. The second that I switched my first chow chow to a fresh homemade diet her whole body fluorished. She had a beautiful coat, pearly white teeth, and gorgeous clear eyes up until the day she died at the ripe old age of fourteen. Besides what pet would want to eat the same old thing every day. First of all it is NOT normal to eat the exact same thing everyday, variety is the key to health. You want the absolute best for your pet then look to nature and see the way that wild cats, dogs, and wolves live. The domesticated pet might be tame, but their innards are exactly the same as when the world began.

B.A.R.F. Food
Wholistic medicine deals with the whole pet witch includes your pets body, mind, and environment instead of just treating the symptoms but getting to the root of the problem. Holistic medicine uses herbs, flowers, homeopathy, massage, magnets and etc. These medicines usually work slower and deeper with long lasting effects and the final result is complete health.
What your pet eats can mean the difference between optimum health and disease. The statement "Garbage In, Garbage Out" rings true concerning what your pet eats. For instance commercial pet food is made for omnivores and not carnivores. Dogs and cats are CARNIVORES. Therefore, most pets have many diseases because there insides have not changed, in spite of domestication, there bodies were designed by God to eat and digest raw meaty bones. Most kibble is grain based even when the first ingredients are meat, because the meat is usually put in the kibble fresh ( fresh meat is 90% water) and the grains are already dried making the grains in kibble the dominating ingredient. Hence the commercial industry is more interested in the almighty dollar than your dog or cats health, because dogs and cats are Carnivores and not omnivores like pet food makers would lead you to believe. Pets have multiple health problems because of what they eat. Sixty years ago pets were fed table scraps and raw meaty bones. In that time period cancer, diabetes, hip dysplasia, itchy skin, etc. were not even heard of in that time for pets.
The best food for your carnivore is what nature intended. For instance, you have never seen a wolf roast a caribou over an open fire. Raw meaty bones, organs, and vegetables fixed appropriately are the carnivores ideal diet. You probably wonder where vegetables come in, from the prey animals stomach. Herbivores eat primarily grasses and herbs. This diet is known as B.A.R.F.(Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) diet. Pets fed this way are healthier live longer and just Shine with vibrant health. I had a chow chow fed this way for 14 years of her life. When she passed on the vet could not believe she was in such excellent health for a dog this age. Her teeth were picture perfect and her coat was gorgeous. The only thing that told her age was the gray on her chin. Barf fed pets are healthier and live longer. Dr. Ian Billinghurst has written several books on the barf diet- Give your dog a bone, Grow your pups with bones, and his newest one The Barf diet. His books can be purchased at the site at the top right hand side which is Dogwise.com.
